This portfolio is operated by Mitesh Banka. It includes portfolio pages, project demos, analytics, and AI-assisted tools such as Budget Trip Finder.
Information processed
Contact forms, AI chat messages, and travel-planning inputs may be processed to provide the requested response. Do not submit passports, payment details, medical details, passwords, or other sensitive information into project demos.
Analytics
Google Analytics is optional and remains disabled until you choose “Allow analytics.” The choice is stored in this browser. If your browser sends Do Not Track, analytics stays off and the “Analytics settings” button explains that instead of offering a choice. If you withdraw consent, no further analytics events are sent, the Google Analytics cookies for this site are removed, and any script already loaded is switched off for the rest of the visit. When allowed, events can cover page views, performance, form status, and outbound travel-link clicks; they are not designed to include message text, payment information, or other sensitive content.
Rate limiting and IP addresses
To limit abuse, the site counts requests per visitor IP address. For the AI tools and the contact form, the count is kept in a shared Redis store (Upstash) under a one-way hash of the IP address, and it expires when the rate-limit window ends, between one and fifteen minutes depending on the route. The raw address is not sent to that store. The hash is not keyed, so it is pseudonymous, not anonymous. If the shared store is unavailable, the contact form keeps a short-lived count against the IP address in the memory of the server instance that handled the request, which is removed by the first request that arrives after the window has ended, or when the instance restarts. A few other routes count requests in server memory in the same way.
AI and third parties
AI project inputs may be sent from the server to a configured model or image provider. Contact submissions may be delivered through a configured email provider, and Cloudflare Turnstile may be used to reduce abuse. Booking, flight, hotel, activity, news, and image-source links can involve third parties with their own privacy policies.
Browser storage
Before analytics consent, the site stores small preference values needed for choices such as analytics consent and Cosmic Explorer display settings. If you allow Google Analytics, it may also store analytics cookies or browser identifiers such as the standard _ga cookie. Clearing this site's browser data removes these stored values.
